Capturing the Beauty of New Hampshire's Iconic Summit

Hello there! I recently went on a day trip that allowed me to experience the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tram in Franconia, New Hampshire, for the second time. The first time I went up, we were in the clouds, and the views were minimal. On our most recent trip, we got breathtaking views of the mountains, Echo Lake, and the fall colors popping out.

Ride on the Tram

Let's talk about the ride itself first things first. A true game-changer is the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tram. In less than ten minutes, it whisks you up to the summit, which is astonishingly high at 4,080 feet above sea level. While I am scared of heights, I couldn't have wished for a more thrilling beginning to my experience as someone who enjoys scenic beauty.

Days of Panoramic Views

Imagine yourself on a clear day, standing atop Cannon Mountain. In addition to the breathtaking scenery of New Hampshire, you can also see the mountains in four other states and even catch a glimpse of our neighbor to the north, Canada. I was utterly enthralled by how big everything was. No doubt my camera had its work cut out for it! Not to mention that the short trail headed to the observation tower had areas to enjoy the stunning views.

Investigating the Summit

There are plenty of activities and places to take pictures after you reach the summit. It is tough to avoid taking photos of the natural splendor because remarkable walking pathways run around the mountain. During my visit, the autumnal hues around Echo Lake were gorgeous, and I took many pictures to preserve them.

One must go to the 360-degree observation deck. It offers breathtaking vistas that aren't hindered. Whether you're an expert photographer or enjoy snapping pictures, you're in for a treat. All I wanted to do was take all the photos!

Refresh and unwind

It's good to relax after all that exploring and taking pictures. Fortunately, you are covered at the crest of Cannon Mountain. You can have a bite to eat and a hot cup of coffee at the quaint café. The cozy, welcoming ambiance and the mountain-themed design were appealing to me.

There are also clean facilities available, so don't worry about necessities. In addition, the café is open from 9 am to 4 pm, allowing you to eat and rest whenever you choose. I highly recommend drinking a beer up there if you can!

Conclusion

I had a great day at Cannon Mountain Aerial Tram, and I hope my images will capture even a tiny portion of the magnificence I experienced there. If you ever find yourself in Franconia, New Hampshire, in the summer, you should add this place to your bucket list. It's the perfect location to explore and take pictures because of the exhilarating tram ride, breathtaking scenery, and welcoming amenities at the peak.
